  • The 2026 General Meeting of the cooperative society SUISA

    It’s that time of the year again: On 23 June SUISA members who are entitled to vote will meet for the Annual General Meeting of the cooperative society. This time at Kaufleuten in Zurich.

  • Strong annual performance in a year of change

    SUISA is happy to once again report record performance for the past financial year: higher revenues, lower costs and increased distributions to music makers underpin these successful results. Notwithstanding, the reporting year was marked by cultural policy debates, the impact of AI in music, and planning ahead for a changing of the guard at the Executive Committee.

  • Claudia Kempf and Toni Falzetta appointed to the Executive Committee

    SUISA’s Board of Directors has appointed Claudia Kempf and Toni Falzetta as new members of the Executive Committee. With effect from 1 January 2027, they will assume responsibility for the “Members” and “Customers” departments respectively. They will succeed Chief Operating Officer Irène Philipp Ziebold, who will retire at the end of 2026.

  • Applications for the Label SUISA Songwriting Camp in Lausanne

    Write pop songs as part of a team in an urban atmosphere in Lausanne: Music creators who are registered SUISA members can apply for the Label SUISA Songwriting Camp by 30 June 2026.

  • News from the last board meetings

    SUISA is navigating towards challenges in many different directions. It is facing changes that concern the organisation itself, its location and its personnel. This requires a good lookout and strategic skills. In the fourth quarter 2025 and the first quarter 2026, therefore all hands were on deck within the strategic body of SUISA.

    Is it permissible to train AI with protected works without having to acquire a licence and to pay a licence fee? A review and an outlook on the ongoing process of legislative regulation in Switzerland.

  • Copyright: finding a clear and creative way to get close to the realm of young people

    For 20 years, “respect copyright!” has been relaying the topic of copyright to the place where young people are involved in the consumption of media, music, images, texts and videos: directly to the classroom, where answers should not sound like legal commentary.
