The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) launches the CLIP knowledge platform
On Friday, 17 November 2023, WIPO will launch the CLIP knowledge platform for authors in Geneva. Interested music creators can participate in the event on site or online.
The CLIP (Creators learn intellectual property) platform provides creators with information on intellectual property rights and the associated exploitation of these rights. Through CLIP, the World Intellectual Property Organization, WIPO, aims to help creators understand how they are recognised and paid for their creative work.
The first release of CLIP is dedicated to the music industry. Music creators learn about the industry's ecosystem and the people and organisations involved in getting a song to market. CLIP shows the different rights of music creators and how they are managed.
On Friday, 17 November 2023, from 17:00 to 19:00, WIPO will launch this knowledge platform in Geneva in the presence of WIPO Director General Daren Tang, as well as the founders of the Music Rights Awareness Foundation, Björn Ulvaeus (ABBA) and Niclas Molinder.
You can find the programme under this link.
Interested music creators can register for on-site participation via this WIPO registration platform.
It is also possible to attend this event online and register via this form.
